“OPENING OF PACKET FOODS”

Year 2022, living with variants of Covid-19, life has changed for many for good and for many not so good and for a few ones for bad.

WFH has taught many what each family member contributes to what we call a family. WFH taught us the importance of home cooking, the importance of hygiene, the importance of our house helps on whom we rely upon so much, and many others. People with stronger immunity who got through it called it a normal cold and cough (the lucky ones indeed). But those with weaker immunity know the price they paid in this Covid episode. Definitely, they are not the ones who lack in financial aspects of the lower working class. Rather they are the ones who are weak in their habits, of course, some sail through genetics or hereditary histories. And what are those “Habits”, read below.

This is not any Nutritionist article speaking on nutrition. But I am strong on the point “Opening of Packet foods”, which has played a toll on people’s health. The class who are used to opening the packets on their everyday basics.

90% of our Food industry are with packets loaded with preservatives, chemicals, stabilizers, refined floors, refined sugars, maltodextrin, etc… Any given Instant breakfast items, tea bread/biscuits, evening snacks, milk mixes, instant lunch items, your meals are ready within minutes on “Opening of Packet foods”.

Fast world, fast life, fast foods, fast children, and their fast growth. There is no single day in everyone’s life where we have not loaded our stomachs with preservatives. And so is the reason for many types of diseases, cancers, health issues are coming forward every day from every corner of the world. As the world is only on “Opening of Packet foods”.

We can dream only till age 60 (provided we are lucky ones) after that is all bonus. Ageing, calcium deficiencies, diabetes, and many others are nearing the age bar compared to the previous generation as we are progressing towards new eras. PCOD, PCOS, and Progeria were strangers just 50 years back. Today’s Kids are seen as more prone to diabetes as early as teens, whereas their parents are still yet to diagnose. Why is this? Is it not “Opening of Packet foods”. Needless to mention, not all are required for life savings.

I recently lost my grandmother at the age of 100+ who had no diabetes, no BP, or any comorbid health issue. She breathe her last for the reason being losing her balance and falling on the floor, breaking her hip bone which got difficult to heal taking her age into consideration. There are many who has grandparents relating to the same stories as mine. What did they eat at their prime age? Which is definitely not “Opening of Packet foods”

What will these preservatives do when they are used in infant foods which are used to fulfill kids’ daily consumption of nutrition?

Imagine what packet foods (which cannot be stored without preservatives), will put the little timid stomach of your child into? What will happen if you load every day with products containing preservatives thinking they are giving you the nutrition of some grains, veggies, or fruits? Are they really benefitting your child? Remember your child is the one who falls for more nutrition and is at the most receiving end at the age when they are growing.

With this pandemic, we have understood the importance of what a strong immunity means. Definitely, it’s not only loading yourself with Vitamin C to boost your immunity. Rather eat right, fresh grown, homemade, staple foods and always select the right “OPENING OF PACKET FOODS”, (without preservatives or chemicals) for you and your family members on your kitchen shelves.
